Peer Review Policy

The conference organizers and proceedings editors will evaluate the peer review process for The 5th ISSTEC 2025 to ensure the highest quality of published work.

Authors interested in participating in the conference are required to adhere to the publication ethics guidelines set by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).

Initial Screening

All submissions undergo an initial screening to check for completeness and adherence to the conference submission guidelines. Manuscripts that pass this stage are assigned to an editor for further evaluation. All contents in the manuscript, including figures and tables, must be free from copyright.

Editorial Oversight and Conflict of Interest

Editors evaluate submissions for suitability for peer review. If an editor is listed as an author or has a potential conflict of interest with a submission, another editor or a designated member of the Editorial Board will oversee the review process. Peer review reports inform editorial decisions, though editors may exercise discretion in accepting or rejecting submissions based on the overall merit and integrity of the manuscript.

Review Process

Conference papers are reviewed by Programme Chairs, Programme Committee Editors, and invited external reviewers. Each paper will receive at least two detailed peer reviews, and decisions are made based on the scientific merit, originality, and relevance of the work.

Authors receive reviewer comments along with the editorial decision. All reviewers are expected to provide clear recommendations supported by constructive comments suitable for authors.

Review Process Transparency

Organizers and editors will complete a form detailing the peer review process followed. This documentation will be included in the published proceedings.

Minimum Peer Review Standards

All conferences and reviewers are expected to adhere to the following standards:

  • All papers are evaluated fairly and without discrimination based on race, gender, religion, ethnicity, nationality, or political beliefs.
  • Language and terminology used in reviews and publications must be respectful and inclusive.
  • All participants (authors, editors, reviewers) must comply with the conference’s ethical policies.
  • The organizers and editors reserve the right to investigate any allegations of misconduct.
  • All submissions and reviews must be conducted in English.
  • Reviewers must provide a clear recommendation and include sufficient supporting comments.

Acceptance Criteria

Only papers with clear, positive reviewer support will be accepted. Conference papers are expected to meet high academic standards, but reviewers will also consider the nature of conference presentations and allow reasonable flexibility (e.g., for review-type or background papers). However, no paper of low scientific quality will be accepted. Previously published papers will not be considered.
