FMIPA UII – The Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences at Universitas Islam Indonesia (UII) won 3rd place at the UII Website Appreciation 2022 awarding event, held on Wednesday (August 31) in the Theatrical Room of GKU Prof. Dr. Sardjito. Additional recognition was awarded to the websites of the Department of Pharmacy and the Department/Study Program of Statistics, both receiving a “Fairly Good” rating.

The UII Website Appreciation is an annual event that honors websites managed by Faculties, Departments/Study Programs, Service Units, and Study Centers within UII for their contributions in maintaining UII’s positive image.

Organized by UII’s Public Relations Division, the event evaluates several aspects, including website updates—such as new articles, announcements, sliders, plugins, and WordPress themes. Visual impressions of the websites are also assessed, including layout design, engaging sliders, and the completeness of unit information.

In his speech, UII Rector Prof. Fathul Wahid, S.T., M.Sc., Ph.D., emphasized that a website should not only be built but also managed well. He stated that websites not only reflect the identity of each unit but must also fulfill the information needs of visitors—be they lecturers, students, or parents. Through the website, visitors should be able to learn more about each unit.

Meanwhile, Ratna Permata Sari, S.I.Kom., MA., Head of UII Public Relations, noted during the UII Website Appreciation 2022 Awarding that the progress of unit websites at UII has been very encouraging. Websites are now managed effectively according to established branding guidelines. She expressed hope that the event would inspire website managers to be more creative in developing their sites.

Attended by website administrators from 45 units, the UII Website Appreciation 2022 concluded with a photo session of the winners, along with the congratulatory message, “Keep up the great work, and see you at the next UII Website Appreciation.”

Hopefully, this award will motivate website managers within FMIPA to continue developing and enhancing the quality of each Department/Study Program website. Although the faculty website did not win 1st place and only two programs received awards, it remains something to be grateful for. With continued effort, may all FMIPA UII websites achieve even better results in the future.
