STUDY CENTER

The realm of research and academic studies is often in direct contact with applied disciplines. The Study Center within the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences was established to support various research topics in the industrial world including the fields of chemistry, pharmacy and data planning.

The Study Center of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences opens collaboration with research partners to explore problems and produce solutions as a determinant of effective policy directions. The collaboration between campus academics and practitioners in the industry allows them to be able to find comprehensive solutions from two different backgrounds.

 

The following is a list of Study Centers owned by the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences UII:

For this reason, the Islamic University of Indonesia through the Chemistry Study Program has taken concrete steps by taking on the role of an institution that explores, researches, studies, utilizes and disseminates the results obtained through its Center for Essential Oil Studies (CEOS). The activities carried out by CEOS are involving people related to essential oil processing in the fields of Process / separation technology, Chemistry, Marketing, Farmers / essential oil producers, investors and the government which are realized in the form of workshops, consultations, dissemination and cooperation.

These activities include increasing knowledge and understanding of work in the field of essential oils, including:

1.How to Produce Several Types of Essential Oils

2.Introduction of Quality Test and Analysis of Essential Oil Quality

3.Research and research for the development of essential oil derivative products

PIO UII is a study center that is the flagship of UII Pharmacy. Many activities have been running since its inception until now, such as health education and free medical treatment. In addition, PIO UII actively participates in events related to the health sector such as health seminars and other activities such as PIO On The Road “National Health Day Commemoration” and PIO’s Corner.

 

The activity which is currently ongoing is broadcast on UNISI 104.5 FM radio regularly every Tuesday at 15.00. The event was themed MEDICINE OUR MEDICINE. At the event, listeners were free to ask questions related to health and medicines via telephone or SMS, with permanent sources namely Yulianto, S.Farm, Apt., better known as Sukir who is one of the young pharmacists who graduated from UII who is a UII Pharmacy lecturer who is active in the Indonesian Pharmacists Association (IAI) Yogyakarta organization and now serves as Director of PIO. PIO is an organization in the field of Drug Information Services which is structurally under the Department of Pharmacy with a lecturer as director of PIO.

 

The interaction of lecturers and students in PIO activities can be seen from the intensity of broadcasts on the radio every week, youth pharmacist events held every year, and assistance in drug counseling and making brochures/leaflets about diseases/drugs according to agreed topics.

The Center for the Study of Herbal Medicine (PSOH) is a study center located in the Pharmacy Study Program, Islamic University of Indonesia, which focuses on herbal medicinal plants.

 

The aims of this study center are:

 

Empowering the teaching and learning process of the UII Pharmacy academic community, whose operational nature can continuously be utilized by all students, lecturers, researchers and the general public who are interested in the advancement and development of the world of medicine, especially in the field of natural medicine using plants/traditional medicines

As a means of developing and utilizing medicinal plants in the fields of education, research, community service, and Islamic da’wah through the Herbal Medicine Research center.

The interaction of students and lecturers in the development of PSOH is mostly carried out in the cultivation of medicinal plants, training in the management of medicinal plant gardens and workshops on the utilization and cultivation of medicinal plants.
