FMIPA UII – On Tuesday, September 20, 2022, the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Universitas Islam Indonesia (FMIPA UII), held the Graduation Farewell Ceremony for Period I of the 2022/2023 Academic Year for prospective graduates in person at the FMIPA UII Auditorium. This graduation farewell ceremony is a routine activity held by FMIPA UII for prospective graduates prior to the official graduation, as a form of appreciation and to extend congratulations to those who have completed their studies at FMIPA UII.

The ceremony was attended by the FMIPA UII Dean’s leadership board, Heads of Study Programs from each department, representatives of students’ parents/guardians, DPKA representatives, academic division representatives, and 145 prospective graduates from diploma, undergraduate, and postgraduate programs of FMIPA UII. The event was held at the FMIPA UII Auditorium from 08:00 to 11:30 WIB.

In this period, FMIPA UII graduated a total of 278 students. Out of these, 173 students graduated with honors (cum laude), and six graduates achieved the highest GPA in their respective programs. As a form of appreciation, each Head of Study Program extended congratulations to these top achievers. Additional recognition was given in the form of highest GPA certificates, awarded by the Dean of FMIPA UII to each recipient.

Following the award ceremony, a speech was delivered by the selected representative of the graduates, Annisa Fajar Lestari, a graduate from the D3 Analytical Chemistry Program. This was followed by remarks and the symbolic return of the graduates to their parents/guardians by the Dean of FMIPA UII, Prof. Riyanto, S.Pd., M.Si., Ph.D., and a speech from a parent representative, Dr. Drs. Imam Djati Widodo, M.Eng.Sc., parent of one of the graduates.

The event continued with an academic briefing delivered by the Head of the Academic Division, Achmad Rossy Cendana, A.Md., and a motivational seminar on personal development presented by a representative of DPKA UII, Lifthya Ahadiati Akmala, S.Psi., M.Psi., Psychologist, for the prospective graduates. The seminar focused on psychometric test insights and career preparation. It was hoped that this seminar would serve as a valuable provision for the graduates in facing the professional world ahead.

The farewell ceremony concluded with the expression of impressions and messages in the form of poems by the Head of the IT Division of FMIPA UII, Lungit Marsudi Wening, S.Kom., which was warmly received by the audience. The event ended with a photo session for each graduate at the photobooth provided in the FMIPA UII Lobby.
