The International Program of the Pharmacy Study Program sent off four of its students to participate in a one-semester Student Exchange at USM Malaysia.
FMIPA UII – The International Program of the Pharmacy Study Program at FMIPA UII officially sent off four of its students to participate in a one-semester Student Exchange at the School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM). The students participating in the exchange program are Adilla Pratama Putri (Student ID 21613307), Adhelia Wahyu Wiedayati (Student ID 21613255), Amine Rachdia (Student ID 21613302), and Baraa Ali Yahya Sharif (Student ID 21613303). The four students were formally released by the Secretary of the Department of Pharmacy UII, apt. Suci Hanifah, S.F., M.Si., Ph.D., and the Secretary of the International Program of Pharmacy Study Program, apt. Arde Toga Nugraha, M.Sc., during a farewell event held on Thursday, 26 Sha’ban 1445/7 March 2023 at the Pharmacy Department Meeting Room, FMIPA UII.
This event, as a form of support from the International Program and the Department of Pharmacy UII for its students taking part in the Student Exchange program, is expected to inspire other students to participate in similar activities in the future. During the formally arranged yet advisory-focused event, apt. Arde Toga Nugraha, M.Sc., began his remarks by explaining that, “The Pharmacy Study Program at UII has conducted several international mobility programs in recent years, all lasting no more than a month, and this is the first time the study program is conducting one lasting about five months or a full semester. This is the first-ever semester-long student mobility or Student Exchange at UII Pharmacy. It is a valuable opportunity for our students to enhance their international networking, knowledge, and experience. If this program is successful, we will continue it next year so that your juniors may also take part. There is also a chance we will open this opportunity to regular Pharmacy students,” added apt. Arde.
Meanwhile, in another statement, the Secretary of the Department of Pharmacy, apt. Suci Hanifah, S.F., M.Si., Ph.D., stated, “This is a great moment for the students and for the Pharmacy Department because UII Pharmacy students have been selected by Universiti Sains Malaysia to participate in a full-semester Student Mobility program at USM. We extend our gratitude to the program study team for facilitating this opportunity, which can also be counted as part of the MBKM program, allowing credit transfer from USM. However, it is important to remember that this program is not just about obtaining grades but also gaining knowledge, experience, networking, and new insights from studying a semester at USM. Please uphold UII’s good reputation, respect one another, stay in touch with the study program, and remain steadfast in your prayers and worship during your studies at USM Malaysia,” she added.
One of the student representatives, Amine Rachdia, an international Pharmacy student from Morocco and one of the participants, expressed deep appreciation for the opportunity provided by the Study Program to him and his peers, and stated that he was ready to work hard as he carries the good name of the International Pharmacy Study Program at UII to Malaysia.
