The Dynamics of the Pharmacist Profession Provides Scholarships for 5 New Students of FMIPA UII

FMIPA UII – A total of 75 new students attended the inaugural lecture of the 44th Cohort of the Pharmacist Professional Study Program (PSPA) of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) at the Islamic University of Indonesia (UII) on Wednesday, 12 Rajab 1445 H / 24 January 2024 at the FMIPA UII Auditorium.

The Professional Study Program, which has been established since 2002 and received “Excellent” accreditation from LAM-PTKes in 2022, remains committed to producing pharmacists who are scientifically and spiritually grounded, integrating knowledge and practice based on faith and piety, and are able to compete in the global market. In line with this mission, the selection process for new students in the Pharmacist Professional Program is also rigorous, aiming to admit outstanding candidates who can be shaped into competent pharmacists. The greatest hope expressed by Dr. apt. Farida Hayati, M.Si., as the Head of the Pharmacist Professional Study Program during this inaugural lecture, was that “The new students of the 44th cohort can quickly adapt to the PSPA learning process. The learning method in PSPA is different from that in the undergraduate program, so students must change their learning patterns,” she explained.

On this occasion, a motivational lecture session was also presented by an alumnus to encourage the new students. This session was delivered by apt. Hady Anshory, M.Si., a lecturer and alumnus of PSPA UII, who gave a talk themed “Pharma Preneur: Managing Indonesia’s Herbal Wealth for Public Health and Pharmacists’ Welfare.” Additionally, a learning application workshop was delivered by Dr. apt. Arba Pramundita Ramadani, S.Farm., M.Sc., and a CBL Method Block Workshop was delivered by apt. Mutiara Herawati, S.Farm., M.Sc., both of whom are lecturers and PSPA UII alumni.

During the inaugural lecture moment of the 44th cohort PSPA students, five (5) educational scholarships were also awarded to new students. One scholarship in the amount of IDR 7,500,000 was granted to Belva Abrar Irawan for achieving the highest selection score (2.8), while four other students—Inayatul Maula Yunita (2.4), Nur Azmila Hernita Ariani (2.4), Hanna Nurmilzamah (2.4), and Diana Ayu Halimah (2.2)—received scholarships of IDR 5,000,000 each. The scholarships were presented directly by Prof. Dr. apt. Yandi Syukri, M.Si., as the Head of the Pharmacy Department, FMIPA UII.
