Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences Provides Health Services and Medical Treatment for Lecturers and Staff
FMIPA UII – The Mini Teaching Hospital (MTH) Laboratory and Drug Information Service (PIO) of the Pharmacy Department, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA), Universitas Islam Indonesia (UII), collaborated with Unisia Polifarma to provide health services for FMIPA UII lecturers and staff on Wednesday, 11 Sha’ban 1445H / 21 February 2024, at the MTH Integrated Lab of Universitas Islam Indonesia. The health check-up was met with great enthusiasm from FMIPA lecturers and staff, as seen from the number of participants, including permanent lecturers, contract lecturers, permanent staff, and contract staff within FMIPA.
This activity continues the previous year’s program in 2023, which was held monthly with the goal of achieving a satisfying level of health for the FMIPA UII academic community (consumer satisfaction). Effective service is expected to fulfill expectations and needs (provider satisfaction), organized efficiently and periodically (institutional satisfaction), explained apt. Mutiara Herawati, M.Sc., as the coordinator and also the head of the MTH Laboratory, Pharmacy Department, FMIPA UII.
In a brief statement, she also explained the background of this activity: “In Islam, working is considered an act of worship to seek sustenance from Allah to fulfill life’s needs. Earning a halal and good livelihood is part of jihad in the way of Allah, equivalent in value to performing the pillars of Islam. Therefore, working is an act of worship and a necessity for every human being. Hence, PIO, in collaboration with the MTH Laboratory and Unisia Clinic, aims to ensure excellent health so that the FMIPA UII academic community can work optimally,” she added.
This health service targets FMIPA UII academic community members with official employee IDs (NIK), offering various types of health services including blood pressure and body weight checks, blood sugar, total cholesterol, triglycerides, and uric acid level checks, general doctor consultations, pharmacist or UII pharmacy student counseling, and medicine distribution.
