First Ta’lim of FMIPA UII 2024

FMIPA UII – A total of 600 students from the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA), Universitas Islam Indonesia (UII), from the 2023 and 2024 cohorts, participated in the First Ta’lim of the Even Semester 2023/2024, held on Wednesday, 18 Sha’ban 1445 / 28 February 2024, at the Ki Bagoes Hadikusumo Sports Hall, Universitas Islam Indonesia. This First Ta’lim carried the theme “Qur’anic Generation, Don’t Commit Suicide” as a form of mental reinforcement for the younger generation, which has recently been under the spotlight.

Mental health issues have become a common topic of discussion recently. This is due to the fact that the impact of mental disorders is sometimes intolerable. One of the proofs is the recurring cases of suicide. The Qur’an, as a guide for human life, has warned its followers not to easily fall into despair. It is only fitting for Muslims, as part of the Qur’anic generation, to face the future with optimism, rather than ending their lives in tragic ways.

To strengthen the mental resilience of the younger generation, especially FMIPA UII students, this Ta’lim session invited a speaker who is also a practitioner, Mufliha Fahmi, S.Psi., Psychologist, who delivered material on the importance of becoming a Qur’anic Generation as a shield against the negative impacts of mental health issues. “Do not despair of the mercy of Allah.” This is the word of Allah SWT in Surah Yusuf verse 87, and the verse was elaborated on in the short lecture during the Ta’lim.

On this occasion, in addition to providing students with valuable insights, the event also awarded recognition to Mualims who had accompanied students throughout the past semester. The awards were given based on pre-established assessment criteria and included certificates and gifts from the FMIPA UII.
