Ta’lim Perdana Fakultas MIPA Semester Genap TA. 2023/2024 “Qur’anic Generation, Don’t Commit Suicide”

FMIPA UII – On Saturday, February 28, 2024, the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences of the Islamic University of Indonesia (FMIPA UII) held the Ta’lim Perdana for the Even Semester of 2023/2024 for FMIPA UII students from the 2020/2021 cohort who are retaking the ta’lim, as well as the 2022 cohort (pre-basic and basic levels) and the 2023 cohort (pre-basic, basic, and intermediate levels). This activity is a program of the Directorate of Islamic Education and Development (DPPAI) UII and an initiative from FMIPA UII as part of efforts to produce graduates with an Islamic vision and mission.

The Ta’lim Perdana for the Even Semester of 2023/2024 took place at the Ki Bagoes Hadikusumo Sports Hall of the Islamic University of Indonesia under the theme “Qur’anic Generation, Don’t Commit Suicide.” This event was attended by all FMIPA UII students, as previously detailed. Students who attended the event received credit for one (1) ta’lim session.

The main session of Ta’lim Perdana began with a talk show moderated by Mr. Shubhi Mahmashony Harimurti, S.S., M.A., featuring psychologist Ms. Mufliha Fahmi, S.Psi., Psychologist, as the speaker. The talk show lasted 60 minutes, with 15 minutes allocated for a Q&A session with students.

Ms. Mufliha explained that various current issues (especially among young people) often lead to self-harm or suicide. This is generally caused by emotional distress or heartbreak, which has become one of the most common issues faced by today’s youth.

“Our religion teaches us never to despair, and that every trial in life will not be given beyond the capacity of each individual,” said Ms. Mufliha.

The event concluded with the awarding of the Best Mu’allim for each cohort. The Best Mu’allim award for the 2022 cohort was given to Tiara Amalia, and for the 2023 cohort to Fistaulia Fahda Salsabila.
