Once a student, now collaborating with the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences

FMIPA UII – Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) of the Islamic University of Indonesia signed a memorandum of understanding with the Faculty of Pharmacy of Mulawarman University (Unmul) Samarinda in the framework of cooperation to enhance institutional relations between the parties in carrying out education, research, and community service activities, especially in the Department of Pharmacy FMIPA, on Friday 11 Ramadan 1445 H / 22 March 2024 in the Main Meeting Room of FMIPA UII.

This signing was very special because the person from the Faculty of Pharmacy of Mulawarman University who attended and signed was the Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, who is none other than an alumnus of the Pharmacy Study Program FMIPA UII class of 2000, Dr. apt. Hadi Kuncoro, M.Farm. In his opening speech, on behalf of the Faculty of Pharmacy Unmul, he expressed his emotion and gratitude as well as his highest appreciation to FMIPA UII for the opportunity to return to his beloved alma mater, which has developed significantly compared to when he studied there in 2000 to establish cooperation. “This faculty has changed tremendously. We used to study with all its limitations, but now everything is very advanced and modern, including the accreditation of the pharmacy department which has developed with the highest achievements,” said Hadi Kuncoro.

In another welcoming speech, Prof. Riyanto, Ph.D. expressed his greetings back to campus. “FMIPA is open to anyone who wants to grow. It is a pride for the Faculty of MIPA because the more alumni who contribute to this country, the better, including Dr. apt. Hadi Kuncoro, M.Farm who now serves as Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy Mulawarman University and hopefully this cooperation will continue to improve,” closed Prof. Riyanto.

After the signing, the event continued with a discussion and friendly gathering between the two institutions, and also present in the signing of this cooperation was Prof. Dr. apt. Yandi Syukri, M.Si., as Head of the Department of Pharmacy who also currently serves as Chairman of the Indonesian Association of Pharmacy Higher Education and had the opportunity to provide input in the discussion session regarding the development and progress of the two institutions.
