Oath Taking Ceremony of Pharmacist Graduates Class 42 PSPA Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences
FMIPA UII – A total of 59 new pharmacists from the Pharmacy Profession Study Program, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA), Universitas Islam Indonesia (UII), took their oath in an open session of the 42nd pharmacist oath-taking ceremony at FMIPA on Friday, 24 Syawal 1445 H / 3 May 2024 M, held at the KH Abdul Kahar Muzakir Auditorium, UII. Among the graduates, 34 new pharmacists graduated with cum laude honors.
The oath-taking procession was directly led by the Dean of FMIPA, Prof. Riyanto, Ph.D., in front of the oath committee consisting of the Rector of UII, represented in this event by the Vice Rector for Academic Development and Research, Prof. Dr. Jaka Nugraha, S.Si., M.Si., the Head of the Pharmacy Department at FMIPA UII, Prof. Dr. Apt. Yandi Syukri, M.Si., the Head of the Pharmacy Profession Study Program at FMIPA UII, Dr. Apt. Farida Hayati, M.Si., and the Secretary of the Indonesian College of Pharmacy Sciences, Prof. Dr. Apt. Edy Meiyanto, M.Si. The ceremony was solemnly witnessed by all invited guests, including the parents and guardians of the pharmacist candidates.
“The pharmacist oath you take today is not just words but a commitment to provide quality, ethical, and safe healthcare services to the community. This is an important moment in your professional journey in the field of pharmacy,” was the message from the Rector of UII conveyed in his welcoming speech read by the Vice Rector for Academic Development and Research, Prof. Dr. Jaka Nugraha, S.Si., M.Si. The Rector also emphasized that “In the future, pharmacists will face various challenges such as advances in science and technology, demographic changes, and healthcare systems. Important issues like drug safety and quality, personalized care, availability of essential medicines, and telepharmacy will also become your focus. May your career as a pharmacist be successful and founded on high dedication and integrity. Always uphold ethical values, knowledge, and service to the community,” he concluded.
In this pharmacist oath-taking event, the Pharmacy Profession Study Program FMIPA UII also awarded Gold Pins to the new pharmacists with the highest GPA, namely apt. Adinda Millenia Nurlaela S.Farm. NIM 22811087 with a GPA of 3.97, and apt. Yunita S.Farm. with the same GPA of 3.97. Furthermore, apt. Yunita S.Farm. also celebrated her achievement by obtaining the highest score in the Indonesian Pharmacy Profession Student Competency Examination (UKMPPAI), a national graduation requirement for new pharmacists, with a score of 91.
