A Day as a Scientist at Universitas Islam Indonesia
FMIPA UII – To promote new student admissions, the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) at Universitas Islam Indonesia (UII) held a lecture simulation event titled “A Day as a Scientist at UII” on Wednesday, 29 Shawwal 1445 H / May 8, 2024, at FMIPA UII. The event was attended by over 200 high school students from the Special Region of Yogyakarta (DIY) and Central Java (Jateng).
“A Day as a Scientist at UII” was designed to provide a realistic glimpse of the academic experience at FMIPA with a modern and engaging approach for prospective students. This activity was a collaboration between FMIPA and UII’s Marketing Directorate.
Participants had the opportunity to gain deeper insight into various academic systems at FMIPA, including attending simulated lectures in classrooms, laboratory practicums, and learning about the service systems at each study program. In addition, they also participated in various fun educational games.
Ustazah Windana, a supervising teacher from Pesantren Putri Al-Mawaddah Ponorogo who brought 52 of her students, shared her positive impression during the visit to UII. “We were warmly welcomed. The committee was ready at the parking area and in front of the building to greet us. The event was organized in great detail, so we not only received information about the campus but also gained useful knowledge and insights. Various performances from each study program were presented attractively, which further increased the students’ interest in continuing their education at UII. Thank you, UII. May this campus become the best choice for the children of the nation,” she said.
