FMIPA UII Welcomes 6 New Doctoral Graduates

FMIPA UII – The Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) at the Islamic University of Indonesia (UII) is celebrating the arrival of six new doctoral graduates in 2024, who have joined the academic staff across various study programs after completing approximately four years of study, both domestically and abroad. The welcoming of the new doctors was held in a thanksgiving event titled “Tasyakuran Kelulusan Studi Doktoral Dosen FMIPA 2024” on Tuesday, 28 Dhu al-Qa’dah 1445 H / 4 June 2024, at the FMIPA building basement.

During the event, FMIPA UII sacrificed two goats through a catering service, with the meat distributed to all academic community members, including cleaning staff, preceded by a joint prayer of gratitude. The Dean of FMIPA UII, Prof. Riyanto, expressed his warm welcome to the returning faculty members who have completed their doctoral studies. He hoped their presence would strengthen FMIPA, particularly in the Chemistry and Pharmacy Departments.

Representing the new doctoral graduates, Dr. Apt. Dimas Adhi Pradana, M.Sc., also expressed gratitude to all parties for their prayers and support, especially to the FMIPA UII academic community. “We hope the knowledge we’ve gained can be beneficial to society, so we can become UII individuals who provide broader benefits,” said Dimas.

The six new doctors joining FMIPA are Dr. Reni Banowati Istiningrum, M.Sc., and Ganjar Fadillah, M.Si., Ph.D., who completed their doctoral studies at Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) and are from the Chemistry Department. Meanwhile, the four others are from the Pharmacy Department: Dr. Apt. Diesty Anita Nugraheni, M.Si., and Dr. Apt. Dimas Adhi Pradana, M.Sc. (UGM), Dr. Aris Pradana Kusuma, M.Sc. (Bandung Institute of Technology), and Apt. Okti Ratna Mafruhah, M.Sc., Ph.D. (China Medical University).
