Ta’lim Perdana Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences Odd Semester AY 2024/2025 “A Generation of Rahmatan Lil ‘Alamin with the Spirit of Learning the Qur’an”

FMIPA UII – On Wednesday, September 18, 2024, the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences of the Islamic University of Indonesia (FMIPA UII) held the First Ta’lim for the Odd Semester of 2024/2025, specifically for FMIPA UII students from the 2023 cohort (pre-basic and basic) and the new 2024 cohort. This activity is part of the program by the Directorate of Islamic Education and Development (DPPAI) UII and also an initiative by FMIPA UII as one of the efforts to produce graduates with Islamic vision and mission.

The First Ta’lim for the Odd Semester of 2024/2025 took place at GOR Ki Bagoes Hadikusumo, Islamic University of Indonesia, under the theme “A Generation of Rahmatan Lil ‘Alamin with the Spirit of Learning the Qur’an.” This event was attended by all FMIPA UII students, as previously listed. Attendance at the event was counted as one (1) ta’lim session.

The main session of the First Ta’lim began with a Talk Show moderated by Mr. Shubhi Mahmashony Harimurti, S.S., M.A., featuring a speaker from the Financial Analysis Study Program of the Faculty of Business and Economics UII, Mrs. Syahdara Anisa Makruf, S.Pdi., M.Pdi. The Talk Show lasted 60 minutes, with 15 minutes allocated for a student Q&A session.

In her presentation, Mrs. Syahdara emphasized the importance of emulating noble character derived from the Qur’an in everyday life. She stressed that students, as the young generation who will one day lead the ummah, must continue to deepen their understanding of the values of the Qur’an.

“A Generation of Rahmatan Lil ‘Alamin is a generation that brings mercy to all creation. The key to becoming part of this generation is by strengthening our relationship with the Qur’an, both through reading and implementing its values in life,” said Mrs. Syahdara in her presentation.

The event concluded with the awarding of the best mu’allim from each cohort. The best mu’allim award for the 2022 cohort was given to Aisyah, and for the 2023 cohort, it was awarded to Shopia Nur Fauziah.
