FMIPA’s First Ta’lim Session for the Odd Semester of the 2024/2025 Academic Year: ”Rahmatan Lil’Alamin Generation, Enthusiastic in Learning the Qur’an”
On Wednesday, September 18, 2024, the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences of Universitas Islam Indonesia (FMIPA UII) held its First Ta’lim Session for the Odd Semester of 2024/2025, especially the 2023 batch (pre-basic and basic) and the new batch of 2024. This activity is a program of the Directorate of Islamic Education and Development (DPPAI) UII as well as an initiative of FMIPA UII as an effort to produce graduates who have an Islamic vision and mission.
The inaugural Ta’lim activity of the 2024/2025 Odd Semester took place at the Ki Bagoes Hadikusumo Sports Hall of Universitas Islam Indonesia, with the theme “Rahmatan Lil’Alamin Generation, Enthusiastic in Learning the Qur’an”. This event was attended by all FMIPA UII students with details previously attached. Participants who attend the event will be counted as one ta’lim meeting.
The main session began with a talk show led by Mr. Shubhi Mahmashony Harimurti, S.S., M.A., featuring a guest speaker from the Financial Analysis program at UII’s Faculty of Business and Economics (FBE), Mrs. Syahdara Anisa Makruf, S.Pdi., M.Pdi. The talk show lasted 60 minutes, including 15 minutes Q&A session with the students.
In her speech, Mrs. Syahdara highlighted the importance of emulating noble character traits based on the Qur’an in daily life. She emphasized that students, as the young generation who will one day lead the people, must continue to deepen their understanding of the values of the Qur’an.
“The Rahmatan Lil ‘Alamin generation is a generation that is able to bring mercy to all of the universe. The key to being part of this generation is to strengthen our relationship with the Qur’an, both through reading and implementing values in life,” said Mrs. Syahdara in her presentation.
The event was closed by awarding the best mualim (Quran instructors) in each batch. The award for the best mualim of batch 2022 went to Aisyah, and for batch 2023 it was Shopia Nur Fauziah.
