Rakorja (Work Coordination Meeting) FMIPA UII 2024: “Preserving Integrity, Striving for Improvement, Acting Swiftly

Yogyakarta (01/10/2024) – The Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences of Universitas Islam Indonesia (FMIPA UII) held a Work Coordination Meeting (Rakorja) in the 4th Floor Auditorium of FMIPA UII. The event, which began at 8:00 AM, aimed to depelov the 2025 work agenda and discuss strategic plans to advance FMIPA UII. This year’s Rakorja adopted the theme “Preserving Integrity, Striving for Improvement, Acting Swiftly,” emphasizing the importance of maintaining integrity, fostering innovation, and responding swiftly to the challenges of future education.

The event began with opening remarks from UII’s key leaders. The first address was delivered by the Dean of FMIPA UII, Prof. Riyanto, S.Pd., M.Si., Ph.D. In his speech, Prof. Riyanto the emphasized the importance of performance evaluation and continuous improvement to achieve FMIPA UII’s grand vision. He also highlighted the need for synergy among all faculty elements to drive innovation in academics, services, and research.

The second speech was delivered by UII Vice Rector for Student Affairs, Religion, and Alumni, Dr. Drs. Rohidin, S.H., M.Ag. He emphasized the vital role of students and alumni in supporting FMIPA UII’s development. He pointed out that strong collaboration between the faculty, students, and alumni would enhance FMIPA UII’s competitiveness nationally and internationally.

The last speech was given by the Chairman of the Board of UII Waqf Board Foundation, Dr. Suparman Marzuki, S.H., M.Si. In his message, Dr. Suparman emphasized the importance of well-planned long-term strategies and wise resource management to answer the increasingly complex future challenges.

After the speech, the event continued with presentations from each division and department at FMIPA UII. The first presentation was delivered by the Dean & Division, which discussed the achievements of the faculty and strategic steps to improve academic quality, services and supporting facilities. Furthermore, consecutive presentations from the Department of Chemistry, Department of Statistics, and Department of Pharmacy highlighted the development of each department, challenges faced, and work plans for 2025.

This Rakorja served as a crucial moment for FMIPA UII to evaluate its performance over the past year and formulate realistic and measurable strategic steps to face future challenges. With the spirit of “Preserving Integrity, Striving for Improvement, Acting Swiftly,” FMIPA UII aims to continue evolving as a leading institution in academics, research, and community service.

The event ended with a commitment from all Rakorja participants to work together in realizing the faculty’s strategic plan and driving FMIPA UII toward even greater achievements in the coming years
