FMIPA UII – A total of 181 participants took part in the cheerful cycling event “Gowes Ceria, Sehat Bersama, Funbike Bahagia FMIPA UII” — MIPA Ngepit on Sunday, 15 Jumadil Ula 1446 H / 17 November 2024, with the start and finish located at the courtyard of the Prof. Dr. H. Zanzawi Soejoeti, M.Sc. Building, FMIPA, Islamic University of Indonesia.

The Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) is one of the faculties at the Islamic University of Indonesia (UII), established in 1995. Its 29-year journey marks a significant and mature period of contributing and synergizing to build the nation. FMIPA UII has made many efforts in this role, from promoting national education to becoming a solution provider for community issues. As an expression of gratitude to Allah SWT, FMIPA UII is using this 29th anniversary as a moment for reflection and thanksgiving—evaluating how far it has come and reaffirming its future direction and contributions.

Through this 29th anniversary, FMIPA UII hopes to further contribute to society’s needs and challenges—both directly and indirectly. This gratitude is manifested in a variety of activities, one of which is MIPA Ngepit.

The 2024 edition of MIPA Ngepit introduced a fresh twist by collaborating with various institutions as co-hosts, including the Faculty of Civil Engineering and Planning (FTSP UII) in celebration of its 60th anniversary, and the Faculty of Business and Economics of UII. “MIPA Ngepit 2024 is the third annual event aimed at promoting a shared cycling experience among the cycling community of FMIPA, UII, and the wider Yogyakarta public. Alhamdulillah, the number of participants continues to grow each year, indicating a positive response from both the UII community and the general public,” said Rizal Arrosyd, Chair of the MIPA Ngepit 2024 organizing committee.

To make the event even more festive, participants were treated to a variety of meals at the finish line. The committee also distributed hundreds of door prizes and held a raffle for a grand prize. The lucky winner of the exotic electric bicycle grand prize was Mr. Agung Muhammad Prakoso, a participant from the general public category.
