Bali International University wants to learn from the Department of Pharmacy, FMIPA UII
FMIPA UII – As part of efforts to improve the quality of educational services, Bali International University (UNBI) visited the Department of Pharmacy at the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Islamic University of Indonesia (FMIPA UII) on Thursday, 3 Jumadil Akhir 1446H / 5 December 2024. The UNBI delegation, consisting of the Deputy Vice-Rector for Student Affairs, Public Relations, and Cooperation, the Head of the Clinical Pharmacy Study Program, the Head of Student Affairs, several lecturers, and dozens of clinical pharmacy students, was welcomed by the Vice Dean for Resources of FMIPA and the Head of the Pharmacy Study Program at the FMIPA UII Auditorium.
Dr. apt. I Gusti Ayu Rai Widowati, M.Kes., MH., SMC, Deputy Vice-Rector II of UNBI, expressed deep gratitude to the Department of Pharmacy for the warm welcome. “We hope this visit marks the beginning of a future collaboration,” she said in her opening remarks. She added, “UNBI is ready to learn from the Department of Pharmacy at FMIPA UII, as we are still in our early stages and should continue learning from our predecessors in the field of pharmaceutical education.”
The visit began with welcome speeches from both institutions and an exchange of souvenirs, followed by a presentation from the Pharmacy Study Program at FMIPA UII, delivered by the Head of the Program, apt. M. Hatta Prabowo, M.Si., Ph.D. He gave a brief explanation about the structure and activities of the program at FMIPA UII.
After the presentation, the event continued with a focused discussion between the leadership teams of the Department of Pharmacy and UNBI in a separate room, as well as a discussion between HIMFA (Pharmacy Student Association) of FMIPA UII and UNBI students. The visit concluded with HIMFA UNBI being guided on a tour of the Pharmacy laboratories at FMIPA UII.
