FMIPA improves the quality of classroom facilities ahead of the Even Semester of the 2024/2025 Academic Year.
FMIPA UII – The Dean of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences at the Islamic University of Indonesia, Prof. Riyanto, Ph.D., conveyed his commitment to improving student services, particularly in lecture activities at FMIPA. He emphasized that all classrooms at FMIPA must be comfortable and equipped with good, modern facilities to support the students’ learning process so that all students feel at ease while studying. This was stated during the preparation meeting for the Even Semester of the 2024/2025 Academic Year held on Friday, 22 Sha’ban 1446H / 21 February 2025 at FMIPA UII.
According to him, it is now time for FMIPA to replace all lecture support facilities with more modern ones to improve the teaching and learning process. Among the facilities currently under attention are several classrooms that still use old wooden chairs, which are not effective for forming discussion groups in class due to their weight and lack of mobility. Therefore, in this Even Semester, all remaining classrooms that still use wooden chairs will be replaced with rotating, cushioned chairs that provide more comfort for students.
Furthermore, through the Lecture Preparation Team, various improvements and renovations are being carried out, including gradually replacing all old classroom furniture with new ones. Currently, FMIPA has 18 classrooms with modern facilities, each with varying capacities of up to 60 students per room. Additionally, 4 International Program classrooms and 2 Regular classrooms are already equipped with digital screens. These 80 classrooms are used during lecture hours.
