FMIPA UII – Lecturers and staff of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Islamic University of Indonesia (FMIPA UII), distributed donations to orphans through Al Hikmah Sejalan Orphanage, Cangkringan, and Asy Syafi’iyah Orphanage, Turgo Sleman on 24 Ramadan 1446 H / 24 March 2025. In addition to these two orphanages, donations were also given to the family of the late Mr. Edi Suroso, a former FMIPA security guard. These donations were contributions from FMIPA lecturers and staff during the month of Ramadan, coordinated by the committee through the Finance Division.

The shodaqoh fundraising was carried out from the beginning of Ramadan, specifically for FMIPA lecturers and staff who wished to allocate part of their income to orphans. The donation could be made directly or via bank transfer in the form of a shodaqoh package valued at Rp. 50,000 per package, with no limit on the number of donations submitted. From this fundraising, a total of Rp. 12,850,000 was collected and fully distributed.

In addition to the orphan donations, FMIPA lecturers and staff also raised funds for the student ifthor (iftar) program. This program was intended for FMIPA students attending the last class sessions of the day and was held regularly for up to 15 meetings. “Alhamdulillah, thanks to the generosity of all FMIPA members and additional support from other sources, a total of Rp. 25,930,000 was collected. This amount was used to provide 2,310 ifthor packages with a total expenditure of Rp. 25,346,500, leaving a remaining balance of Rp. 583,500,” said Rizal Arrosyid, S.Si, as the coordinator of the ifthor activity.
