FMIPA UII – Master’s Program in Chemistry at the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Universitas Islam Indonesia Undergoes LAMSAMA Field Assessment
The Master’s Program in Chemistry at the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA), Universitas Islam Indonesia (UII), underwent a two-day field assessment on Wednesday–Thursday, 16–17 Dhu al-Qi’dah 1446H / 14–15 May 2025. This Field Assessment was conducted by the Independent Accreditation Agency for Natural and Formal Sciences (LAMSAMA) and was officially opened by the Rector of Universitas Islam Indonesia, Mr. Fathul Wahid, at the 4th Floor Auditorium of FMIPA UII.
The event was also attended by the Head of Education Development of the UII Waqf Board, Prof. Drs. Allwar, M.Sc., Ph.D., Vice-Rector for Student Affairs, Religion, and Alumni Dr. Drs. Rohidin, Sh., M.Ag., along with Heads of Institutions and Directors within UII, the Dean and Vice Deans of FMIPA, as well as two LAMSAMA assessors: Prof. Dr. Jasril, M.Si from Universitas Riau and Dr. Muhammad Agus Wibowo, M.Si from Universitas Tanjungpura.
In his opening remarks, the Rector of UII highlighted several key points, including the university’s progress to date and the achievements of the Department of Chemistry, which oversees the Master’s Program in Chemistry at FMIPA. Currently, the Chemistry Department boasts the highest number of Doctorate-holding faculty members at Universitas Islam Indonesia. Moving forward, the university will continue to support and focus on vertical development of each study program, meaning further development at the postgraduate level rather than the addition of new programs, he added.
The two-day Field Assessment agenda began with a session involving university leadership to confirm information in the self-evaluation report, attended by leaders of the Academic Unit Managing the Study Program (UPPS) and program coordinators. This was followed by sessions on internal quality assurance, UPPS middle management, confirmation of data in the Study Program Performance Report (LKPS), as well as sessions with lecturers, academic staff, external stakeholders, alumni, and students. On the second day, the assessors conducted a site visit, delivered feedback, and signed the official report.
