The Chemistry Department in collaboration with the Professional Certification Institute (LSP) holds Competency Certification.
FMIPA UII – The Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Universitas Islam Indonesia once again demonstrated its commitment to enhancing professionalism as well as providing official recognition of competencies in the field of chemical laboratories through certification based on national standards, while also expanding networks and the quality of human resources across institutions by holding a competency certification on 25–26 Dhu al-Qa‘dah 1446H / May 23–24, 2025M at the Research Laboratory of the Department of Chemistry.
This certification was organized by the Department of Chemistry for lecturers, educational staff (tendik) of UII, and also general participants from various institutions, with a total of 26 participants, in collaboration with the Professional Certification Institute (LSP) Telapi as trainers and certification assessors.
In this certification implementation, the Department of Chemistry opened five schemes, including Volumetry/Gravimetry Scheme, Spectrometry Scheme, Chromatography Scheme, Proximate (food materials) Scheme, and Water Sample Collection Officer Scheme, in which all participants received training, simulation, and certification in each scheme they took. “Alhamdulillah, the training and certification went smoothly. Starting from the first day (training) until the second day (written and practical exams). The committee, trainers, and assessors were very friendly and communicative. The exam or practicum venue was very comfortable. Thank you,” said Hasbi, one of the participants interviewed by UII News about his impressions and messages during the certification.
