“Equipping for Future Economic Challenges, the Statistics Study Program Holds a Guest Lecture on Smart Retirement: Pension Fund Planning in the Fintech Era.”
FMIPA UII – The Statistics Study Program of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences at Universitas Islam Indonesia (FMIPA UII) equipped its students to face future economic challenges by holding a Guest Lecture on Smart Retirement: Pension Fund Planning in the Fintech Era on Tuesday, 29 Dhu al-Qa’dah 1446 H / May 27, 2025, at the Main Conference Room of FMIPA UII.
This event was a collaboration between the Statistics Study Program of FMIPA UII, the Islamic Pension Fund Association of Indonesia (IDPII), and the Indonesian Pension Fund Association (ADPI). It aimed to provide students with comprehensive insights into pension funds, particularly from the perspective of Islamic principles and technological applications.
On this occasion, the Statistics Study Program of FMIPA UII invited Faizal Ridwan Zamzany, SE., MM, Chairman of the Indonesian Pension Fund Association and Head of Literacy and Socialization at ADPI’s Central Board, as the guest lecture speaker.
In his presentation, Faizal emphasized that fintech innovations can be utilized to optimize investment and pension fund management, enabling people to prepare for a more prosperous and independent retirement. He further highlighted the importance of early pension fund planning, especially in today’s rapidly advancing financial technology era. Faizal also expressed his hope that this program would provide valuable knowledge for students to face future economic challenges and inspire them to become agents of change in raising public awareness about financial planning.
After delivering the lecture, Faizal also served as an examiner for the thesis defense of Statistics students under the Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) program at FMIPA UII.
