Master of Chemistry Study Program, FMIPA UII Achieves “Excellent” Accreditation from LAMSAMA

FMIPA UII – The Master of Chemistry Study Program (PSKPM) of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Universitas Islam Indonesia, achieved Excellent accreditation from the Independent Accreditation Institution for Natural Sciences and Formal Sciences (LAMSAMA) with an accreditation certificate dated 9 Dhu al-Hijjah 1446 H / June 5, 2025.

This accreditation was obtained after a rigorous and comprehensive assessment process by LAMSAMA, which evaluated various aspects including the quality of the study program such as curriculum, learning, human resources including students and alumni, facilities and infrastructure, as well as the internal quality assurance system. Based on LAMSAMA decree number 143/SK/LAMSAMA/Akred/M/VI/2025, the Master of Chemistry Study Program achieved Excellent accreditation for the next five years.

Alhamdulillah, the Master of Chemistry Study Program (PSKPM) FMIPA UII once again received Excellent accreditation from LAMSAMA, after previously also achieving Excellent accreditation through the equivalency of international accreditation from ASIIN and the Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC). This is concrete evidence that the program consistently maintains and improves the quality of education, research, and community service. This achievement cannot be separated from the role of the rector and his leadership at the university, FMIPA and the Chemistry Department as the UPPS, the accreditation team, the board of lecturers, students, alumni, and stakeholder users of graduates who have given full support toward this Excellent accreditation. “Our great hope is that PSKPM FMIPA UII can continue to grow, bring more benefits in the development of chemistry, become a solution for Indonesian society and the international community, and become one of the best master’s programs in chemistry in Indonesia as stated in the program’s vision,” said Dr. Tatang Shabur Julianto, M.Si., Head of the Master of Chemistry Study Program, when contacted by UII News.

With the Excellent accreditation status from LAMSAMA and also international accreditation from ASIIN (Germany), the Master of Chemistry Study Program is increasingly ready to compete at the national and international levels and make a significant contribution to the development of science, particularly in the field of chemistry.
