The Department of Statistics Becomes the Learning Role Model for Matana University

FMIPA UII – In order to improve competitiveness and the quality of education, the Faculty of Computer Science and Mathematics (FSKoM) of Matana University conducted a benchmarking visit to the Department of Statistics, FMIPA UII, on Monday, 25 Muharram 1447 H / July 21, 2025, in the conference room of Universitas Islam Indonesia.

“This benchmarking is very beneficial for us to learn the best practices of the system in the Statistics Study Program to improve the quality of education at our campus,” said Prya Arta Widjaya, ST., M.I.T., Dean of FSKoM, during the discussion session. He further added that the Statistics Study Program, which has now been accredited Excellent and also internationally by ASIIN, has certainly met very high educational standards, and therefore “we have much to learn from it,” he concluded.

This activity shows that the Statistics Study Program in particular, and Universitas Islam Indonesia in general, are very open to creating opportunities for collaboration with anyone to improve the quality of education, regardless of the background of the institution. It is evident that Matana University, which has a non-Muslim foundation, was welcomed to learn at Universitas Islam Indonesia.
