“Happy Retirement,” Christanto Yuwono – 26 Years of Service at FMIPA UII
FMIPA UII – After 26 years of service with high dedication and loyalty, Christanto Yuwono, familiarly called Pak Chris, is entering his retirement period this month, marked by a ceremonial farewell held by FMIPA on 6 Safar 1447 H/31 July 2025 at the main meeting room of FMIPA UII.
During his career, Christanto Yuwono has made extraordinary contributions to the Faculty of MIPA UII, especially in the field of academic affairs. Throughout his 26 years of service at FMIPA, Pak Chris spent almost his entire tenure in academic affairs at FMIPA UII. He began his career in 1999 as a staff member assigned to the library unit. Four months later, following the faculty’s policy of rotating employees, Pak Chris was transferred to the academic affairs division where he served until his retirement this year.
“On behalf of the faculty and representing the entire big family of FMIPA, we express our deepest gratitude for Pak Chris’s dedication and service. If there is an example of an employee who has given his whole heart and soul to the faculty, it is Pak Chris,” said the Dean of FMIPA, Prof. Riyanto, Ph.D., in his speech at the retirement farewell. “We hope Pak Chris can enjoy his retirement happily and in good health, and continue to be part of the FMIPA UII family,” he added.
In a separate occasion, Pak Chris also conveyed his message and impression towards the faculty, saying, “I hope that in the future UII will progress even more, especially the Faculty of MIPA, with more students and greater success.”
