FMIPA UII – Kertagana Prajna Embracing the Universe, which is interpreted as the spirit of ulil albab who are inclusive and progressive for the benefit of the people, became the theme of the Pesona Ta’aruf (PESTA) for new students of UII on 10–12 Rabiul Awwal 1447 H / 3–5 September 2025, held at the north parking area of Gor Ki Bagoes Hadikoesoemo, UII integrated campus.

PESTA UII 2025 was officially opened by the Rector of UII, Fathul Wahid, marked by watering a plant as a symbol of hope for new students to grow and develop well and optimally at UII. He was accompanied by the Chair of the Steering Committee for PESTA UII 2025, Muhammad Iqbal Alifi, the President of LEM UII, Hidayat Fathirrizqi Azmi, and the Chair of the Student Representative Council (DPM) UII, Cipta Aditya Pratama.

In his remarks, Rector of UII, Fathul Wahid, joyfully welcomed the new students who have now become part of the big family of UII. He explained the main function of education as an effort to provide understanding that will support their learning process at UII. “In the process of education, students are introduced to many things and contexts in which they are currently situated, such as economic, political, social, cultural contexts, and so on. For what purpose? So that we can become social beings, able to interact, sharpen empathy, heighten social sensitivity, and so on,” he explained.

PESTA UII 2025 was also filled with a talk show on Ke-UII-an and Leadership, featuring competent speakers such as Anies Rasyid Baswedan, Governor of Jakarta for the 2017–2022 period, and Drs. Imam Mujiono, M.Ag., and was attended by all 5,188 new UII students in 2025.
