Farewell and Welcome Ceremony for the Dean and Vice Deans of the 2018–2022 and 2022–2026 Periods, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Islamic University of Indonesia

FMIPA UII – On Monday (July 4), the Farewell and Welcome Ceremony for the Dean and Vice Deans of the 2018–2022 and 2022–2026 periods was held at the Auditorium of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) UII. The event marked the end of the 2018–2022 leadership period and the beginning of the 2022–2026 leadership period. Attended by lecturers and educational staff of FMIPA UII, the event ran smoothly.

Prof. Riyanto, S.Pd., M.Si., Ph.D. was re-elected as dean for the second time, after previously serving as Dean of FMIPA UII for the 2018–2022 period. Meanwhile, the Vice Dean for Resources for the 2022–2026 period is held by Saepudin, S.Si., M.Si., Ph.D., Apt., and the Vice Dean for Religion, Student Affairs, and Alumni is held by Tri Esti Purbaningtias, S.Si., M.Si.

The event began with the recitation of the holy Qur’an and was followed by remarks from the re-elected dean. In his speech, Riyanto expressed his gratitude to the Vice Deans of the 2018–2022 period for their work and for the achievements reached by FMIPA UII during that time. Riyanto further expressed hope for even better results in the next four years, working together with the 2022–2026 Vice Deans, lecturers, and educational staff, recognizing that every leadership style is different.

The event continued with the signing of the handover document and a symbolic handover of the report by the Vice Deans, witnessed by the Dean. The outgoing Vice Deans were also given the opportunity to share their impressions and messages with the attendees.

“I am proud and did not expect that the educators at FMIPA UII are so competent and capable of receiving awards at the national level,” said Rohmatul Fajriyah (Vice Dean for Resources, 2018–2022 period).

Thorikul Huda (Vice Dean for Religion, Student Affairs, and Alumni, 2018–2022 period) briefly added that the achievements of FMIPA UII could not have been realized without the involvement of all parties.

During the ceremony, souvenirs were also presented to the outgoing dean leadership. A prayer session was held to seek blessings and the pleasure of Allah SWT for the Dean and Vice Deans of the 2022–2026 period in carrying out their responsibilities over the next four years. The event concluded with a handshaking procession among all attendees.
