FMIPA UII – The UII Anniversary (Milad UII) is one of the annual agendas held as a form of gratitude to Allah SWT for His blessings upon UII. The impact of the Covid-19 pandemic caused the event to be held online for the past two years. Alhamdulillah, this year, the event was held offline with limited attendance in order to continue implementing strict health protocols. The 79th UII Anniversary celebration took place in the Prof. KH. Abdul Kahar Mudzakkir Auditorium at the Islamic University of Indonesia as the main venue, and in each faculty as a branch venue, including the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA), so as to avoid crowding.

The joy of the participants present at FMIPA UII reflected the festivity of the 79th UII Anniversary Celebration. The event began with a morning exercise session, which opened the series of events for the 79th UII Anniversary Celebration at FMIPA UII. The participants, who were FMIPA UII staff and lecturers, enthusiastically moved their bodies to the rhythm of the exercise led by an instructor. This activity is expected to strengthen the spirit of togetherness within the FMIPA UII family.

After the exercise, participants gathered at the FMIPA UII basement parking area to watch the series of anniversary events broadcast live from the Prof. KH. Abdul Kahar Mudzakkir Auditorium via Zoom. A band from FMIPA UII was one of the performers at this year’s anniversary event. As in previous years, the peak celebration of the UII Anniversary also included a door prize drawing, with the main prizes being an umrah package, a motorbike, a bicycle, a TV, and a refrigerator. The announcement of the door prize winners was the most anticipated part of the event. Everyone waited anxiously, hoping their name would be called as one of the winners. Cheers erupted throughout the room as several FMIPA UII lecturers and staff won door prizes.

The series of events for the 79th UII Anniversary Celebration at FMIPA UII ran safely, smoothly, and joyfully. After the event ended, the participants dispersed in an orderly manner.
