Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences UII – Masta Ta’aruf (MASTA) New students of FMIPA UII 2022 have been held for 3 days offline in the Parking lot of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences UII. This new student orientation activity takes the theme “Young Scientist, Embracing the world, penetrating the horizon”.

The Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences at the Indonesian Islamic University (FMIPA UII) began welcoming new students for the 2022/2023 academic year with the Ta’aruf Period or MASTA FMIPA UII 2022. This MASTA activity was held for three days on Monday, August 29 2022 to Wednesday, August 31, 2021. MASTA FMIPA UII is held offline at the FMIPA UII Parking lot. The activity, which was attended by more than 500 new students, was enthusiastically welcomed. Especially if during these three days students are invited to get acquainted more closely with the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences UII.

The first day or Pre Masta took place on Monday August 29, 2022 filled with walking activities on the UII campus accompanied by games, as well as social services to the orphanage, then the second day or the opening of the masta began with remarks from several parties, including representatives of student institutions, UII alumni then Mrs. Tri Esti Purbaningtyas as Deputy Dean for Religion, Student Affairs, and Alumni, and the last one is Prof. Riyanto, Ph.D. Dean of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences UII. The symbolic opening was followed by a white dove flight by the Dean of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences. MASTA 2022 this time carries the theme “Young Scientist, Embracing the World, Penetrating the Horizon”. Then after the opening ceremony continued with the introduction of Institutions (DPM, LEM, LPM), introduction of HMJ and UKMK, appearance of Saraswati FMIPA UII, after that it was continued with a discussion about FMIPA UII which was filled by the Dean and Deputy Dean of FMIPA UII. Still on the second day or Masta Day 1, it was followed by a talk show by alumni, introduction of UKM FMIPA UII, Stand Up Comedy performances by Andang Ristianto and Pandu Rizqy, besides that there were band performances and gift exchange.

Entering the third day or day 2 MASTA begins with Tadabur Al-Qur’an, followed by visits to the laboratory and the FMIPA building. Furthermore, there was a personal branding seminar which was filled by Hayra Prili Ananza, and was accompanied by art performances. Entering the closing ceremony, it was filled with award presentations, after movie screenings, UMC performances. The closing was filled with the Student Oath by the general chairman of LEM FMIPA UII and the inauguration. The whole series of MASTA activities were attended by new students with high enthusiasm.
