The Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Universitas Islam Indonesia (UII) won 3rd place in the UII Website Appreciation 2022 Awarding event on Wednesday (31/8) in the GKU Theatrical Room Prof. Dr. Sardjito. Then another award was given to the Website of the Department of Pharmacy and the Department / Study Program of Statistics which both won the title of “Good enough”.

UII Website Appreciation is an appreciation given to websites managed by Faculty units, Departments/Prodi, Service Units, and Study Centers within UII for their participation in maintaining the positive image of UII.

This annual event held by UII’s Public Relations Division has various assessments. The assessment includes website updates, both article updates, announcements, sliders, plugins, and WordPress themes. The visual impression of the website is also not spared in the assessment. The design layout, attractive slider, and completeness of unit information contributed to the UII Website Appreciation assessment.

In his speech Prof. Fathul Wahid, S.T., M.Sc., Ph.D., UII Chancellor, said that a website is not only built but also must be managed properly. The website in addition to being the image of the unit must also be able to meet the information needs of its end users, both lecturers, students, and parents. Through website information, visitors are expected to get to know and know more about a unit.

Meanwhile, UII’s Head of Public Relations, Ratna Permata Sari, S. I. Kom, MA. in the UII Website Appreciation 2022 Awarding event stated that the development of the unit website in the UII environment has been very encouraging. The website has been managed properly according to the established branding. In addition, it is hoped that the UII Website Appreciation can motivate website unit managers in UII to be more creative in developing websites.

The UII Website Appreciation 2022 Awarding event which was attended by website managers from 45 units was closed with a photo session of the winners and accompanied by the words, “Congratulations on your work and meet again with the next UII Website Appreciation”.

Hopefully, this award can increase the enthusiasm for website managers within the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences to continue to work and improve the quality of websites in their respective Study Programs/Departments. Although the Faculty’s website did not win 1st place and only 2 study programs received awards, it should be grateful and hopefully next year will get even better achievements for all websites in the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences UII.
