FMIPA UII – On Tuesday, November 29, 2022, the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences at the Islamic University of Indonesia (FMIPA UII) held the Graduation Ceremony for Period II of the Academic Year 2022/2023 for prospective graduates in an offline event at the FMIPA UII Auditorium. This graduation release event is a regular activity organized by FMIPA UII to appreciate and congratulate the prospective graduates who have completed their studies at FMIPA UII before the official university graduation.

This period’s graduation ceremony carried the theme “Grow, Synergize, and Devote to the Ummah with FMIPA UII Alumni” and was held at the FMIPA Auditorium. It was attended by the FMIPA UII Dean’s Office leadership, Heads of Study Programs from each department within FMIPA UII, representatives of students’ parents/guardians, UII alumni and representatives from the Directorate of Career Development and Alumni (DPKA) as speakers, academic division representatives, and a total of 60 graduating students from all levels—diploma, undergraduate, and postgraduate—of FMIPA UII.

In this period, FMIPA UII graduated a total of 60 students. Among them, 33 graduated with cum laude honors, and 6 students achieved the highest GPA. As an appreciation, the Heads of Study Programs personally congratulated these high-achieving students. Further appreciation included certificates of achievement for highest GPA recipients, handed over by the Dean of FMIPA UII.

The event also featured an appreciation and souvenir presentation for the outstanding student finalist at the diploma level in Chemical Analysis, awarded to Indah Ika Nurcahyani.

Following the presentation of certificates and souvenirs, a speech was delivered by the selected representative of the graduates, Indah Ika Nurcahyani, a prospective graduate from the D3 Chemical Analysis Program. This was followed by a speech and the symbolic handover of graduates back to their parents/guardians by the Dean of FMIPA UII, Prof. Riyanto, S.Pd., M.Si., Ph.D. A speech was then delivered by a parent representative, Mrs. Nur Afiati, S.S., parent of one of the prospective FMIPA UII graduates.

The event continued with a talk by apt. Tieto Ramadhona, S.Si., an alumnus of the Pharmacy Program, followed by a session led by a DPKA UII representative, Latifatul Laili, S.Psi., M.Psi., Psychologist.

The event proceeded with an academic information session by the Head of Academic Division, Achmad Rossy Cendana, A.Md, for the prospective graduates.

The graduation ceremony was concluded with a unique farewell message in the form of selected rhymed verses delivered by the Head of IT Division FMIPA UII, Lungit Marsudi Wening, S.Kom., which was warmly welcomed by the attendees. After the closing, the event ended with a photo session for each graduate at the designated photobooth in front of the Auditorium.
