Meeting of Parents/Guardians of New Students of FMIPA UII Class of 2023

FMIPA UII – Saturday (18/11/2023) the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences of the Islamic University of Indonesia held the Meeting of Parents/Guardians of New Students of FMIPA UII Class of 2023. This agenda is one of the important series of faculty environment introductions, especially for the parents/guardians of new students in the learning process and other activities during the college period.

In his remarks, Prof. Riyanto, S.Pd., M.Si., Ph.D. as the Dean of FMIPA UII expressed his gratitude to the parents/guardians of students for entrusting their sons and daughters to pursue their studies at FMIPA UII. In addition, Prof. Riyanto also conveyed his hope that students would graduate on time (4 years for bachelor’s degree and 3 years for diploma) and gain as much knowledge as possible during their college years.

In the first main session, Mrs. Tri Esti Purbaningtias, S.Si., M.Si. as the Vice Dean for Student Affairs, Religion & Alumni presented an overview of student activities that students will go through during their studies. In addition to regular learning activities, students can also participate in extracurricular activities, both academic and non-academic. The faculty will certainly provide the best possible facilities for students to support the smooth running of these student activities.

The second main session discussed the explanation of the education financial administration policy delivered directly by Mr. apt. Saepudin, S.Si., M.Si., Ph.D. as the Vice Dean for Resources. In his presentation, Mr. Saepudin explained the importance of the role of parents/guardians in monitoring financial administration, especially the tuition payment schedule that has been set according to university regulations and provisions.

In the third main session, Mr. Achmad Rossy Cendana, A.Md. as the Head of the Academic Administration Division of FMIPA UII explained several academic services and the UII Gateway system to parents/guardians. UII Gateway is generally used by students as a supporting application for lectures, such as viewing class schedules, tuition payment schedules, personal data database, and so on. On the other hand, parents/guardians can also use the UII Gateway services just like their sons and daughters, and it can be used for the purposes mentioned earlier.

The event was concluded with Breakout Rooms for parents/guardians who wished to obtain further information from their children’s respective study programs.
