Collaborative Research Grant #2 Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences
FMIPA UII – The Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) at Universitas Islam Indonesia (UII) awarded collaborative research grants to five winners of the FMIPA Collaborative Grant Proposal 2024 on Tuesday, 22 Ramadan 1445 H / April 2, 2024, in the FMIPA Dean’s Meeting Room at UII. This grant is intended for collaborative research among lecturers across departments within FMIPA and marks the second year of this annual program.
This year, five selected research titles received the grants, including “Optimization of Biotransformation Process for Biofuel Production from Banana Peel Biomass (Medinilla Speciosa),” involving Dr. Habibi Hidayat, M.Si. from the Chemistry Department, Tuti Purwaningsih, M.Si. from the Statistics Department, and apt. Fitra Romadhonsyah, M.Pharm.Sci. from the Pharmacy Department. “We hope that the FMIPA UII collaborative grant can contribute new scientific insights in research that benefits society, especially in facing challenges in this modern era. Thank you, FMIPA UII,” said Habibi Hidayat after receiving the grant contract certificate from FMIPA Dean, Prof. Riyanto, Ph.D.
The 2024 collaborative research grant process began with proposal submissions from March 1 to 28, 2024, followed by proposal selection on April 1, 2024. The announcement of the accepted proposals was delivered by the FMIPA Dean on April 2, 2024, alongside the signing of the grant contracts. The research is scheduled to run from April 3 to July 3, 2024, with the final report due on August 23, 2024.
The requirements for the 2024 Collaborative Research Grant stipulate that proposing teams must include lecturers from each department within FMIPA UII and members cannot serve as chair or members on other proposal teams. The expected research output includes publications in FMIPA UII’s internal journal or external journals indexed at least in SINTA 3, and the research results must not have been previously funded by other parties. Each grant proposal receives funding of IDR 15,000,000, with a total fund distribution amounting to IDR 75,000,000 for the five best proposals.
