FMIPA UII – The Faculty of Science and Technology (FST) of Alauddin State Islamic University (UIN) Makassar conducted a benchmarking visit to the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) of the Islamic University of Indonesia (UII) on Wednesday, 28 Dhu al-Qa’dah 1445 H / 5 June 2024. The visit aimed to strengthen quality assurance across various study programs at FST UIN Alauddin Makassar and was led by the Dean, Department Secretaries, the Head of the Quality Assurance Committee, and several lecturers.

This event also aimed to enhance institutional relationships and exchange information between the two institutions. The delegation was welcomed by the Dean of FMIPA UII, Prof. Riyanto, Ph.D., along with other faculty leaders in the main meeting room of FMIPA. “I hope the cooperation between FMIPA UII and FST UIN Alauddin Makassar continues to grow. Let us share experiences to strengthen the quality of education and research. Thank you for this valuable opportunity to conduct benchmarking,” stated the Dean of FST UIN Alauddin Makassar, Ar. Fahmyddin A’raaf Tauhid, Ph.D.

Prof. Riyanto warmly welcomed the visiting delegation and expressed FMIPA UII’s readiness to engage in discussions on quality improvement and other relevant topics. The discussion between both parties proceeded smoothly, covering the implementation of quality assurance in each institution. After the discussion session, the guests were invited to tour all the facilities at FMIPA, including lecture rooms and laboratories, with explanations about their functions and the quality standards applied by FMIPA’s quality assurance team.
