REMOVAL OF GRADUATES PERIOD VI ACADEMIC YEAR 2021/2022 AND SEMINAR OF SELF-DEVELOPMENT MOTIVATION: “CREATING A CHARACTERISTIC AND COMPETENT FRESH GRADUATE”

 

Ahead of the graduation ceremony for the VI 2021/2022 period, on Wednesday (27/7) the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences UII held a graduation ceremony for the VI 2021/2022 period graduates. Located in the Auditorium of the MIPA UII Faculty, the event was attended by 88 students from all undergraduate, diploma and master’s programs at the MIPA Faculty. Among the prospective graduates for this period, 65 of them graduated with cum laude predicate. The graduation ceremony for graduates is a routine agenda held by the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences UII for prospective graduates as a form of appreciation and congratulation for the results of the struggles that have been taken during their education at UII.

 

Like the previous period, the graduation ceremony for prospective graduates was also accompanied by a self-development motivation seminar. Creating fresh graduates who have good character and competence is the choice of seminar theme. The existence of the seminar is a means of self-briefing for prospective graduates in optimizing their ability to face the tight competition in the world of work.

 

Appreciation and congratulations to prospective graduates/women who got the highest GPA were conveyed by the head of study programs from each study program. Ratu Aini Lubis, a student of the Pharmacy Study Program, as a representative of the prospective graduates also participated in giving messages. “All angles and aspects of our struggle are certainly helped by the light of our love, the lecturers, who continue to encourage us to keep moving for a bright future,” said Aini. Riyanto, Dean of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences UII, in his speech, conveyed his message and expressed his gratitude to the parents/guardians of prospective graduates/women for having a large enough contribution to the success of prospective graduates/women in achieving graduation. In closing his remarks, Riyanto also gave a rhyme, “In the morning I went to the UII campus, saw the women turn right, turn left, prospective graduates have an identity, as a hallmark of UII alumni.”

 

The expression of gratitude from the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences UII for the important role of parents/guardians of prospective graduates/women was manifested by a speech from a representative of the parents of one of the Statistics Study Program students. Furthermore, Major Laut Yuni Darty, who was present online, became a material for self-development motivation seminars. On that occasion, Yuni underlined several things that became a big influence in her success, namely why, community, character and competence. “Life is a moment of adventure, adventure will not stop until you find where success lies,” he concluded. UII DPKA representative, Fani Eka Nurtjahyo, was also present to present self-debriefing materials. Fani explained that the media that the UII DPKA had prepared and could use as an option for UII alumni to find work. Furthermore, Fani explained the methods and strategies that need to be applied in dealing with the realities of the world of work.

 

The event for prospective graduates this time became more interesting with the delivery of impressions and messages from students of each study program by the Deputy for Religious Affairs, Student Affairs and Alumni. Furthermore, the event ended with a photo of each prospective graduate in the photo booth provided.
